The 25th annual TCRA seminar was held in Charlotte, NC on April 14-15th, and it was a huge success with record attendance. The event brought together torque converter rebuilders from across the country for a weekend of education, networking, and fun.

The event kicked off on Thursday night with a reception sponsored by Wolfpack Enterprises, where attendees had the opportunity to meet and greet with fellow TCRA members and industry professionals. The hospitality continued on Friday with a business tour of Revmax converters, where attendees had the chance to see the company’s operations and products up close. A delicious catered BBQ lunch was also provided.

Friday night’s reception was hosted by Sonnax at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, where TCRA attendees had the entire Hall to themselves. Many participated in a race simulator competition, and it was a fun night for all. Attendees also had the opportunity to explore the Hall of Fame exhibits, which celebrate the history of NASCAR and its drivers.

Saturday’s training session and vendor interaction was top-notch and included presentations from some of the industry’s top experts. Jim Dial from Sonnax, John Parmenter from Precision International, Blake Carter from Suncoast, Alfredo Jimenez and Michael Cargill from Scheffler, Chris Bliven from Fronius, Bobby Mace from Babcox publications and Rodger Bland from ATRA and GEARS magazine all gave informative and engaging presentations. Attendees had the chance to ask questions and interact with the presenters, and the sessions were well-received.

During the Annual member meeting on Friday afternoon, TCRA President Michael Cargill introduced the Board of Directors and thanked the Supplier Members for their ongoing support of the association. The treasurer Steve Jaussaud gave a financial report and introduced a small membership dues increase that would be in effect later this year. The dues increase represents the association’s first increase in 25 years.

Cargill also acknowledged his and the board’s appreciation for the TCRA staff, “The dedication and hard work of our staff, Chris Horbach (Executive Director), Brad Gilbert (Technical Director), and Jan Stimmel, Bookkeeper are truly the driving force that makes these events so successful, and we can’t thank them enough”. The TCRA board of directors will be deciding soon on the location and dates for next year’s annual event.

Overall, the 25th annual TCRA seminar was a fantastic event that brought together torque converter rebuilders from across the country for a weekend of education, networking, and fun. Attendees had the chance to learn from industry experts, connect with peers, and enjoy the hospitality events that were organized throughout the weekend. The success of the event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the TCRA staff, and we look forward to seeing what they have in store for next year’s event.
