Breaking New Ground

ATRA is Breaking Ground on the new ATRA International Business Office, Research and Training Facility in China Grove, TX! Recently the ATRA Board of Directors came together for their annual spring board meeting. As the Executive Director it was my pleasure to inform the board of directors of the good news, the plans for the remodel were complete!

I could barely contain myself, after a year of working out of an empty building and continuing to propel ATRA into the future it was a huge sense of relief that we will have our dream of a new research and training facility on campus.

Our newly remodeled 15,000 sq ft building will contain a hands-on training area, a school style training area, and multiple smaller training locations throughout the building. Our newly remodeled building will be set up with state-of-the-art networking and enough training and working screens for just about any type of function you can think of. ATRA already has platforms for training, annual seminars, EXPO, Virtual Training Videos, YouTube, GEARS Magazine, but now it will have a place for technicians to come and get the training they are looking for and the one on one time they need to fully immerse themselves in the process.

The industry has been asking for more training, hands-on training and most importantly personal small setting training to maximize the opportunity. ATRA is breaking new ground as we reboot our association and continue moving into the future of training. ATRA is at the forefront and with the help of our suppliers and venders worldwide our Research and Training facility will be top notch.

Imagine walking into a spacious 4000 sq. ft. training classroom filled with an impressive array of parts, transmissions, and testing equipment sourced from the finest suppliers in the industry. The room is meticulously organized, with shelves, cabinets, and workstations displaying a vast assortment of components and tools.

At one end of the room, you’ll find an assortment of high-quality parts. The shelves are stocked with parts from our renowned supplier-partners, ensuring that students have access to top-of-the-line equipment and materials for their training.

Moving further into the room, you come across a dedicated section filled with various types of transmissions. Different models and designs are on display, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the inner workings of each transmission type. The transmissions are carefully disassembled, providing a hands-on learning experience for students to understand the intricate mechanisms involved.

Adjacent to the transmission section, you’ll find a comprehensive range of testing equipment. Cutting-edge diagnostic tools, computerized testing machines, and simulation software are available for students to assess the performance and functionality of the components and transmissions. This hands-on approach enables learners to troubleshoot, diagnose, and refine their skills in a practical environment.

In addition to the physical equipment, the training classroom is also equipped with advanced audiovisual systems. Large display screens, interactive boards, and multimedia resources are utilized to enhance the learning experience. Instructional videos, and virtual simulations provide visual aids to complement the hands-on training.

The training classroom will be one of curiosity, exploration, and skill development. Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic learning environment, where they can acquire practical skills and gain a deep understanding of the intricacies of automotive components and transmissions.

We can’t wait for our grand opening to give everyone an opportunity to see first hand what more ATRA has to offer.
