Precision International Founder Passes

It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of transmission industry pioneer Dennis Marshall on Sunday, October 1st. Marshall was the founder of kit packaging company, Precision International that is approaching its 50th year in the industry.

Marshall’s involvement in the transmission aftermarket began in 1957 when he worked for Allomatic’s founder Beno Bordiga. In 1975, Marshall founded Manufacturing Gaskets Worldwide, commonly known as MGW. Later, Marshall’s company continued with a name change to Precision International. Marshall was proud that the company, while continuously growing maintained itself as a family business.

Dennis has left his company in the capable hands of daughter Tina who will assume the president role and several long terms industry know employees, Frank Miller Executive VP, John Sollazzo VP Sales/marketing, Vin Soviero Engineering manager, Diane Doran Controller, Jack Schweit warehouse manager and Scott Schneider Sales manager, all of whom have been working for Dennis at Precision International for 3 or 4 decades.

Marshall and his company have long supported providing technical education to rebuilders by way of seminars, technical videos and countless contributions to articles in Trade magazines.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Jeri; daughters Tina, Laura and Denise; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
