TransGo, a leading provider of automatic transmission solutions, announces the immediate availability of the new SHIFT KIT® valve body repair kit for General Motors 8L45 and 8L90 transmissions. This #SK8L90 kit addresses the most common concerns associated with these transmissions, including TCC instability, overheated converters, secondary regulator circuit VB worm track cracking, loss of converter feed, error codes PO218 and PO741, high line harsh shifts, low line soft slipping shifts, broken hard parts, and low cooler flow.
Included in the kit are essential valve body repair components such as a drop-in pressure regulator and shuttle valve line-up, a drop-in TCC regulator valve, drop-in S2, S3, and S4 regulator valves, an oversize converter feed limit valve and an oversize AFL valve. The installation of the two new oversize valves requires the use of the #AFL-G2-TK tool kit, sold separately. This versatile tool kit is compatible not only with the new 8L90 SHIFT KIT, but also various GM and Ford front wheel drive 6-speed transmission kits.
