Certified Transmission Announced Third Remanufacturing Facility Now Operational and Nearing Full Staffing

Certified Transmission has announced that its third remanufacturing facility is now operational and nearing full staffing. The new plant is dedicated exclusively to the 6L80 and 6L90 family of transmissions and is designed to function as a fully self-contained operation, complete with its own parts, dyno, cleaning, and production departments.

Unlike traditional assembly-line manufacturing, we utilize a bench-build approach. Each unit is assigned to a single builder who is responsible for the entire remanufacturing process—from complete teardown and inspection to cleaning, parts procurement, and final assembly. This method reinforces accountability and ensures consistency throughout the build process.

The facility has already demonstrated strong early performance, recently achieving a weekly production record of 195 units. With staffing and training programs continuing to advance, the company has set an ambitious target of reaching 300 units per week, a milestone it expects to achieve by the end of the year.

To support this growth, Certified Transmission has invested heavily in training, preparing builders well in advance of the plant’s launch. Each builder transitions to an individual workstation, where they begin producing units independently.

Our expansion reflects an ongoing commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement as it scales operations to meet increasing demand.
