As some of you may already know, Marvin and I have sold Advanced Transmission. We are proud of the business we built, the work we accomplished and excited to begin new ventures. I am not sure exactly what that is for me, but, Marvin says he is going to drown as many worms as possible and hunt every chance he gets.
Marvin and I have been extremely fortunate and blessed more than we deserve. Retiring early after 45+ years for Marvin and 30+ years for me in the Transmission Industry has been a dream come true! It’s been said we come from a generation that “lived to work.” We prefer to say we “loved to work” and loved the people we worked with and the community we worked for.
The blessings continue by announcing Jonathan Shadis, service advisor and longtime employee of Advanced Transmission and his wife Crystal as the proud new owners of Advanced Transmission. Passing ownership to these two fine young people is so exciting! We look forward to great things from them. We are committed to helping their incredible staff succeed. We are confident Advanced Transmission is in good hands, providing the same quality work customers have come to know and depend on.
Thank you for all the cherished memories, friendships and blessings through the years. We have genuinely enjoyed our adventures in the Transmission Industry and consider ourselves abundantly blessed.
Our plan is to work a few days a week for a short period of time to assist Jonathan & Crystal in making a smooth transition as they hit the gate running.
Our goal was to ensure that our shop stayed open as a transmission shop in hopes to help keep the industry strong. ATRA has truly been the cornerstone to our success.
Again, we have truly enjoyed working in this industry and we’ll miss y’all deeply.
