REEDSBURG, Wis. — July 14, 2026 — Renegade Parts Washers is marking 30 years of manufacturing industrial parts washing equipment for machine shops, manufacturers, fleet maintenance operations, rebuilders, repair facilities, transit systems, rail operations, and industrial service teams.
Founded by David Barney in 1996, Renegade Parts Washers began in a family garage and has grown into a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of standard and custom parts washing equipment. The company, a division of Service Line, Inc., designs and builds manual parts washers, automatic top-load and front-load systems, and custom I-Series washing systems in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
Parts washers are used to remove grease, oil, dirt, coolant, metal chips, and other debris from parts before inspection, repair, rebuilding, assembly, or reuse. For many operations, the washer supports daily production, maintenance, or repair work. When it performs reliably, it becomes part of the normal workflow. When it fails, it can slow the work around it.
“If a customer has to think about the washer every day, we didn’t do our job,” said David Barney, Founder and President of Renegade Parts Washers. “Our goal is to build machines that match the demands of the work, hold up in shop and production environments, and help customers stay focused on their process instead of cleaning problems.”
Renegade’s 30-year history includes steady investment in manufacturing, engineering, and product development. The company has brought more work in-house over time and added capabilities that include laser cutting, brake press equipment, powder coating, welding, electrical controls engineering, and CAD design.
At Renegade the engineering team and service team are constantly improving the washers. “These may not be changes that get noticed from the outside, but they matter in a shop,” Barney said. “A parts washer should make the job easier. It should not become another problem that needs solving.”

Custom work has been part of Renegade’s growth. In 2018, the company designed and built a specialized washer for a large city’s Transit Authority to clean wheel bearings on subway cars.
