Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts Introduces New Industry Mascots

Shepherdsville, KY — Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts (WIT) is proud to introduce its newest brand ambassadors to the automatic transmission repair industry: Gearhead Gus and Tommy Torqueflight. The illustrated mascots embody the grit, pride, and personality that define WIT’s employee-owners and the work they do every day.

Designed to connect with builders, technicians, and shop owners across the industry, Gearhead Gus and Tommy Torqueflight will make appearances at industry seminars, trade shows, social media channels, WIT facilities, and employee events, bringing a recognizable face to the WIT brand and its “Whatever It Takes” mindset.

Gearhead Gus features a head shaped like an automatic transmission, complete with flowing transmission fluid hair, symbolizing hands-on expertise and the mechanical heart of the rebuild process. Tommy Torqueflight’s head represents an Atlantic Torque Converter, highlighting power transfer, precision, and performance—critical components of every successful transmission build.

Together, the mascots represent more than parts—they represent people.

“Gearhead Gus and Tommy Torqueflight reflect the real men and women behind WIT,” said President & CEO Rodney Peters. “They stand for hard work, teamwork, and the family-like culture we’ve built across our divisions.”

That culture is rooted in WIT’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), where employees are also owners. Gus and Tommy will help tell that story—showcasing the benefits of employee ownership, shared success, and the pride that comes from building something together.

As WIT continues to grow, Gearhead Gus and Tommy Torqueflight will serve as visual reminders of the company’s commitment to the transmission rebuilding community and the people who power it.
