WIT Turkey Shootout Raises $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital
A Weekend of Racing, Community, and Compassion at Atmore Dragstrip
Atmore, Alabama — November 17, 2025 — The 2025 WIT Turkey Shootout, held November 15–16 at the Atmore Dragstrip in Atmore, Alabama, delivered more than just high-octane racing thrills—it showcased the heart of the automotive racing community. Whatever It Takes Transmissions (WIT), with support from its vendors, race sponsors, and the dedicated racing community, proudly announced that the event raised an incredible $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The two-day event brought together racers, families, industry partners, and spectators from across the Southeast, all united for a purpose greater than the race itself. The funds raised will help fuel lifesaving treatments, research, and care for children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses at St. Jude.
Rodney Peters, President & CEO of Whatever It Takes Transmissions Parts, shared a heartfelt reflection on the emotional and community impact of the donation:
“The support St. Jude provides makes a huge difference—not only for the children fighting terrible illness, but also for their families, who often face the burden of housing and food costs during treatment. The excitement the event has generated within the local community and from families who have been blessed by the support of St. Jude has been incredible. That response is truly priceless.”
WIT extends its deepest appreciation to the racers, spectators, and the following event donors whose generosity and partnership helped make this charitable achievement possible:
