Amazing Women in Automotive (AWiA) is announcing plans for its second annual all-women’s retreat, scheduled for late June, creating space for women working in independent automotive repair shops to connect, recharge, and support one another.
Announced early in the year, the retreat reflects AWiA’s intentional approach to planning and growth. The experience is designed for women already working in the industry and focuses on relationship building, shared learning, and renewed perspective in a field that continues to face both opportunity and workforce challenges.
Alongside the retreat, AWiA is expanding its focus on scholarship and outreach initiatives aimed at introducing more young women to careers in automotive. With an ongoing shortage of skilled professionals across the industry, AWiA is working to help showcase automotive as a rewarding,
sustainable career path while reducing financial barriers to entry through education and scholarship support.
By supporting women currently in the field and investing in the next generation, AWiA is building long-term solutions that strengthen independent shops and the industry as a whole.
Donations and community support play a vital role in making this work possible. Contributions directly fund scholarships, outreach efforts, and programming that help expand access, awareness, and opportunity for women in automotive.
