GEARS Magazine Welcomes New Graphic Designer Leslie Chavarria

San Antonio, TX — May 7, 2025 — GEARS Magazine is proud to welcome Leslie Chavarria as the newest member of our creative team. Leslie joins us as Graphic Designer, bringing a fresh perspective, a strong artistic vision, and a passion for visual storytelling.
A recent graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, Colorado, Leslie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design through a rigorous online program completed from her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Her journey has been one of dedication, late nights, and an unwavering belief in the power of art to inspire and communicate.
“As I worked hard for years toward my degree, I saw just how important the arts are to the world—it’s in everything we see, read, and hear,” said Leslie. “Conveying an important message through visual aspects that can inspire or move people to action is a skill I’m honored to learn and showcase in my work.”
Leslie proudly walked the stage at the Seawell Ballroom in Denver earlier this year as part of the Class of 2025. She carries forward that moment of achievement into her role at GEARS, where she has quickly become an integral part of the production process. From collaborating closely with her mentor, Aurelio, to learning the ins and outs of magazine layout, Leslie has embraced her new role with energy, humility, and enthusiasm.
“Getting started with GEARS has been such a welcoming experience,” Leslie shared. “From day one, I’ve felt supported—through a department luncheon, getting to know the team, and diving into the history of the industry. It’s clear this company genuinely cares for its people.”
Whether it’s laying out monthly issues, attending industry expos, or collaborating with the passionate individuals behind the scenes, Leslie is excited about the road ahead. “This is only the beginning of my creative journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my vision and grow within this inspiring community.”
Please join us in welcoming Leslie Chavarria to the GEARS family. We look forward to seeing her creativity and talent shine in the pages of our publication and beyond.
