Midas, a leading car care service provider, is proud to announce that David Lang of Midas South Burlington, Vermont, has been awarded the prestigious Midas 2023 ASE Technician of the Year award. The Midas ASE Technician of the Year award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary performance and expertise in automotive service and repair. The award recognizes David’s outstanding achievements in completing the rigorous Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification process and his commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.

Midas, a trusted name in the automotive industry for over 60 years, takes pride in the exceptional skills and expertise of its technicians. David’s achievement as the Midas ASE Technician of the Year exemplifies the company’s commitment to providing the highest level of service and professionalism to its customers. The award also underscores Midas’ dedication to investing in the ongoing training and development of its technicians to ensure they possess the latest knowledge and skills required to meet the evolving needs of today’s vehicles.

“In the U.S., there are 178,000 ASE-certified technicians, but fewer than 800 have the advanced qualifications David has.  He is an ambassador for our shop, the Midas brand and the industry,”said Mark Hastings, GM of the South Burlington Vermont shop.  “David is always learning and passing his knowledge, and his compassion for the community, onto others,” added Hastings. “We’re honored and impressed that he has received this deserved award.”

About the award:
to be nominated, technicians must have:

  • Current ASE Master Automobile Technician status (A1 – A8)
  • Demonstrated involvement in the community
  • Worked at the Midas shop for at least one year

In addition to the award, David received:

  • A trip for two to the ASE Technician of the Year Reception/Banquet,

Nov.14-15, 2023, at the Hilton Resort, Clearwater Beach, Florida.
