Standard Drivetrain, LLC acquires Ultra-Lite Brakes and Components Inc., Ultra-Lite Brakes Inc. and associated companies.

Standard Drivetrain LLC, has acquired Ultra-Lite Brakes and Components Inc, Ultra-Lite Brakes Inc and associated brands.

Ultra-Lite was founded by Jerry Martino in 1993. Ultra-Lite develops and supplies brake and component solutions and is a well respected vendor within the aerospace, motorsports and OE market. Ultra-Lite has been at the forefront of technology in the brake and component industry since its inception.

“This was a natural fit for us, working with Jerry and his team over the years has always been challenging yet fun and exciting. Ultra-Lite brings decades of knowledge and technology that plugs right into everything we are doing. Our team already manufactures the best steel brake rotors in the world and this will take us one step further” states Chris Miller.

Ultra-Lite holds multiple patents on brake design and process,  consisting of, but not limited to, sintered titanium process, brake rotor coatings and methods of 3D printing brake components.

“Ultra-Lites friction enhancing and high durability ceramic coatings were intriguing to me for many years; coupling that with the ability produce solid-state sintered titanium vented brake rotors in house, I believe will make this acquisition an absolute home run for our team. It fits with many of our current core competencies in our friction and sintering business.
