Amazing Women in Automotive Launches New Member Community on Slack

Amazing Women in Automotive (AWiA) is expanding the ways members connect and support one another with the launch of a new online Slack community.

The idea grew from a simple realization. During a recent Wednesday Roundtable, an AWiA member openly shared a challenge, gathered ideas from fellow members, and left feeling encouraged. A few days later, another issue arose. She had another question, another challenge, and another moment when she could have benefited from the wisdom of women who understood exactly what she was navigating. The next Roundtable was still days away.

That experience highlighted an important truth: life and business do not happen on a schedule.

While AWiA’s weekly Wednesday Roundtables remain the cornerstone of the community, the new Slack platform creates a space for members to stay connected between meetings. Members can ask questions, share wins, seek advice, continue conversations, and build deeper relationships with women across the automotive industry.

“AWiA has always been about connection, mentorship, and lifting one another up,” said Melissa “Birdie” Patterson, founder of Amazing Women in Automotive. “This gives our members a place to find support when they need it most, not just once a week.”

The AWiA Slack Community is designed to serve as a virtual gathering place where conversations, friendships, ideas, and opportunities can continue to grow throughout the week.
