Litens Aftermarket North America Announces 26 New SKUs, Expanding Coverage to Hybrid Vehicles and Enhancing Efficiency for Automotive Technicians

  • Latest product lineup features 26 new SKU’s that cover over 9,000,000 vehicles
  • Expansion includes two Litens-designed hybrid tensioners – an industry first
  • Includes new tensioner featuring technician-friendly, Litens-exclusive Easy Button™ latch technology to enable efficient tensioner replacement

Dublin, Ohio – July 15, 2024 – Litens Aftermarket N.A, offering the most complete portfolio of aftermarket belt drive products, has added 26 new SKU’s to its product lineup, covering over 9,000,000 vehicles in operation (VIO).

This new product lineup features:

  • two new pulleys covering almost 2,500,000 VIO,
  • seven new overrunning alternator decoupler pulleys (OAD)™ covering over 1,600,000 VIO
  • 14 belt tensioners covering over 5,500,000 VIO.

Additional highlights of this product expansion include two aftermarket-first hybrid tensioners and a new tensioner featuring Litens’ latest technician-friendly engineering upgrade: the Easy Button™ latch with TAP™ (Technician Assist Pin) technology, which enables a far more efficient belt installation that can be completed by a single technician.

Litens’ two new hybrid tensioners, designed by Litens and first to the aftermarket, together cover over 100,000 VIO. The new Alpha™ Hybrid Tensioner covers 2021-2023 Ford F-Series w/3.5L (Eco Boost), while the new Hybrid V-Tensioner covers 2019-2023 Audi A6 All Road, A6 Quattro, A7 Sportback, A8 Quattro w/3.0L (Mild Hybrid EV-Gas). These products address the growing demand for hybrid vehicle tensioners and the specific requirements these tensioners must meet. Hybrid vehicles often feature additional accessory components, such as electric power steering and regenerative braking systems, which place extra demands on the serpentine belt. Therefore, ensuring that the proper replacement parts are available for technicians and their customers is crucial. A properly matched tensioner can handle the unique demands of a hybrid vehicle’s accessory drive, ensuring efficient power distribution and optimal vehicle operation.

The Easy Button™ latch with TAP™ technology is included on the 999687A tensioner and is a Litens-exclusive enhancement to OE tensioner design and is its latest addition to Litens’ technician-friendly upgrades. The Easy Button™ latch enables safer and more efficient tensioner replacement by a single technician, simplifying the process by assisting in routing the belt while the tensioner is fully retracted. The Easy Button™ latch will be available on new tensioners designed for various 2015-2022 Ford models, including the Edge, Fusion, Taurus and the Lincoln MKZ and Nautilus, covering over 160,000 VIO. Although the initial vehicle coverage is limited to select Ford applications, Litens will be expanding coverage to more aftermarket tensioners in the future.

“As we continue to expand our coverage, Litens is dedicated to meeting the demands of the latest vehicle engine technology,” said Ana Maria Lopez, Product Application Manager at Litens Aftermarket N.A. “We’re also committed to providing technicians with the right parts for their customers’ vehicles and enhancing the installation process through user-friendly engineering upgrades.”
